Welcome back to the Pimp-Out/Showcase Hop!!!
Brought to you by Deezy Does It!
This "Weekly" Pimp-Out/Showcase Hop is to gain new followers as well as bring more traffic to your blog and at the same time receive greater exposure. It is also a great way to meet other bloggers, exchange ideas, get great tips and learn new techniques all while showing your "art".
This week we have a very special showcase.
Before we begin, there are just a few simple rules to the hop.
2. Follow the Showcase Co-Host (third link): Diary Of A Single Mother
3. Link up below using Linky Tools.
4. Visit at least 3 blogs from the linked up list below and leave a comment. Let them know you came from the Weekly "Pimp-Out/Showcase" Hop and inform them you are a follower so they can return the favor.
~Please remember that if someone from the hop follows you, be sure to return the favor~
This week's Pimp-Out/Showcase belongs to Michelle from Diary Of A Single Mother.
This week's Pimp-Out/Showcase belongs to Michelle from Diary Of A Single Mother.
Michelle is a very close and dear friend. As a matter of fact she's my bestie.
Hello everyone!! My name is Michelle and I am a single mother of 3 wonderful children ages 16, 7 and 9. After getting divorced I felt as though no one could relate to what I was going through. Even though I had/have a great relationship with my family, I still felt as though I was alone. The grief of going through my divorce was extremely overwhelming. The only way I could try to heal was to write in my journal.
I wanted to help others that went or are going through what I was going through. This is how the Diary Of A Single Mother facebook was thought of and started. Diary Of A Single Mother contains rants, raves and advice for single parents, especially single mothers. The page has 3 administrators who help keep the page going in all time zones. There are anonymous messages inboxed on my page and we post them so that other parents can help these ladies out. The post can be as little as a teething baby to my ex wants to take my children from me. We have gotten a lot of positive feedback about this page and there are over 12k fans, but even if one person walks away feeling as though they have been helped and are not alone, we feel like our job has been done.
Throughout my parenting, there are funny times and there are serious times. But what is most important is to be real with my children and myself as well as have an open and honest relationship with them, good, bad or indifferent. One saying that sticks with me which I love and find to be so very true is "Being a parent without a sense of humor is like being an accountant who sucks at Math!".
This week's sponsor is Scraptastical Kreations. Kristy Asche is the owner of this great paper piecing company where you will find cute and simple hand drawn paper piecing patterns and digi stamps to make all your "kreations scraptastic"!
They offer paper piecing patterns in all formats {AI, SVG, WPC, GSD, DXF, PDG & JPG (for hand cutting), and PNG (for digital scrap-booking}. You can use these simply cute paper piecing patterns and digi stamps in all your scrap-booking, card making and paper crafting "kreations". The possibilities with these patterns are endless.
Check their blog for inspiration.
This week's give-a-way is a $15 gift code to the Scraptastical Kreations store.
