This week's Pimp-Out/Showcase is a little different.  I have been showcasing different types of blogs created by some awesome ladies since February and I figured it was time to tell you a little about me, aka Deezy from Deezy Does It!
Hi there!!  My name is Wanda Hornung, a.k.a. Deezy from “Deezy Does It!”.  I am a mother of a beautiful yet fearless 7 year old boy, Branden.

My husband and I are high school sweethearts and have been together for 19 yrs (married 13).

I first got into crafting right after we purchased our first home.  My husband just said “Let’s get what you need”.  I still have the receipt of everything we bought, which it is ½ faded.

3 years later and I have one small corner in the Carolina Room.  I own three die cutting machines to help with my crafting, a Cricut Expression and 2 Cricut Imagine, with about 40-50 cartridges.  My specialties are 3-D items and cards and as of recently personalized anything.  I have yet to master creating lay-out pages for scrapbooks, but do dab a bit in it (and by bit I mean very little).

Cards created for very special moms this year

This week's Pimp-Out/Showcase belongs to Tammy from Life-Up, Down and Sideways.

Hello Everyone, this is Tammy from Life-Up, Down and Sideways
I started blogging my crafty creations just over two years ago when I created Cuttin' and Stampin'. It was my way of sharing some of my crafty creations to a larger audience and sell some crafty goodies to others. In such a short period of time, the original blog has developed a life of it's own with a Design Team and weekly challenges. This world wide web has allowed me to meet and get to know so many wonderful people and make some truly life long friends. You may not believe it, but I have a real hard time speaking with people in public places. I get all tongue tied and embarrassed about every word that comes out of my mouth.

When I'm not working or crafting, my husband and I do quite a bit of traveling on the back of a GL1800 Goldwing. It's an amazing way to see the country with the wind in your face and being exposed to all the elements. We take long trips that provide me with tons of great pictures to scrap and lots of jounaling to do. We have one son that I used to arm wrestle with to see who got to ride with dad this week. Now he has reached an age where he can travel on a bike of his own. We have a really close knit family an it's great that we can enjoy the road together.
In my excitement, I decided that I wanted to use this opportunity to try something new. I've been watching all of these wonderful videos on making mini albums and keep thinking "How hard can this be?"

I really need to give credit to Angle Wings 14100 off of YouTube. She created an awesome video with great instructions. You can access them here - Tutorial Video

I made my share of mistakes, so give me a little leeway on the creation of my first mini. I started with some Bazzill Kraft card stock and created my cover and all the pages. Then inked around the edges .
I used the He Said She Said Paper packet from Teresa Collins. There was an additional elements package that contained mini file folders and I tried to make them fit in too.
So here's the front cover of the album. The diagonal card is in a pock and can be changed out. The flower is hooked onto a magnet for the closure. It's pretty plain but with some time to think about it, I'll probably keep adding to it.
So when you open the front cover. There's a pocket on the first page with one of the file folder elements added as a tag. The flap on the right side is also part of a file folder.
Here's the flap opened up.
Here's the second pages of the album. I left the big square to hold a nice size photo. The tags on the right side are removable and can be used to mount pictures on the back or do some journaling.
Flip up the page on the right and here's another great spot for a large picture. There's another large photo and journaling spot on the tag that comes out of the pocket. The bottom section is a third page with a magnetic closure.
Here's how the page opens up.
Once you fold the page down I used another file folder to create an added spot. Then I used three celo bags that are 3" x 6" to create a section of clear picture or tag pockets.
Then there's another large spot for a picture
I hope you enjoyed my first mini album. It's was an interesting project and I've definitely learned that I need to take a little more time and make sure I have all my folds right before I start gluing things down.

Until next time,
Happy Crafting
Tammy

This week's Pimp-Out/Showcase belongs to Laura from Laura Lee's Dream.

Hi! It's Laura here at Laura Lee's Dream!  I have to thank Deezy for inviting me to be her guest.  My blog is Laura Lee's Dream because mostly I share about my passion, which is scrapbooking, stamping and making cards.  I love to own scrapbooking stuff... I am a paper addict but it's all good because I am a Design Team Member for Creative Kuts and when Cheryl sends me a file I can pick through and find the perfect paper.  We do BAP's (Build A Project challenge) every week and also Crops On Line.

I have a Cricut which my granddaughters love to use and I am teaching them to use it themselves.  I have an Imagine which I love also.  My new love is my Silhouette Cameo.   As a Design Team member for Creative Kuts I was hand cutting all the files but now I have my cameo I can do anything.  I have 3 children, all over 20 and my youngest daughter is just starting to getting into crafting.  She does not scrapbook or do card making but she loves to color digi's and she does a great job...  I also have 5 grandchildren... the girls love to craft anything.  They make cards or color or whatever they can get their hands on.  Today I have chosen to show you my May Creative Kuts project for the Design Team....
It is called Treasured Memories...  I had a blast with this one....

I also want to show you a project I have already shown but it is my very favorite file from Creative Kuts, Swinging Into Spring

My Daughter, Emily, worked on this digi from The Stamping Chef.

This is her second time using copics.  I thought she did an amazing job for her second time.  I think she is hooked, so it could be trouble!  Her first image is good also but I really like this one...  We are planning on making it into a card...

Thanks for joining me today and have a great day!

This week's Pimp-Out/Showcase belongs to Jodi from Talking Twine and Trim.

Deezy, thanks for this opportunity!  First my name is Jodi and I am the happy owner of Talking Twine and Trim found here (talkingtwineandtrim@etsy.com) and Just a Bit of Paper found here (justabitofpaper@etsy.com).

Now like most shops, I have a facebook page and about every other week have a give away.  Please come by and like my page.  I often showcase my products and have had "guest" designers here and there.  Look for talking twine and trim on facebook.  Last I have been a member of the Creative team at Scrapbookdoodle.com for years.  I love designing for Yvonne who carries loads
of fun scrapbook products and does amazing kits.
Enough of the self promotion let’s talk packaging, events and scrapping.  I got into my little shop with "NEEDING" some bakers twine one late night while scrapping.  I wasn't happy with my colors I had, so I surfed the net and the next week I was selling it on etsy.  I was hooked!!!!  I love all things cotton and I love color.  It was the beginning of the beginning.  I am also a FAN of tags so the bakers twine is just the answer to many of my tag issues.  Seam binding came next, yes, I LOVE tying things up I guess.  I have dyed it, hand scrunched it and just tied it up.  I love seam binding and baker twine combined.  Please, don't ask me my favorite color as it changes by the hour.
Next came bags and they have taken me to a little old time bakery on Main St. here in AZ.  They were always white so when I saw patterns and colors I knew these were perfect for me.  I have made 2 mini albums using these bags as a base.  They were super cute.

I "heart" washi.  Easy, quick and full of color.  Yes I love colors and patterns.

I have been scrapping for 10 plus years.  My style is...  Well, I don't know.  But a few years ago I stopped fighting it and decided to embrace my style.  I am happy with it.  It is always layered, usually has a tag somewhere and is always attached with twine.  I tend to like white and cream backgrounds.
I have four adult kids, 1 fantastic daugther-in-law, and the CUTEST little granddaughter in the world.  You may see a layout about her later in the week.  I have lived in Arizona most of my life though I love the mountains they are just a few hours away.  I have traveled the world and let me say there are loads of places yet to visit.

Please stop by her etsy store to see all she has to offer.  This is definetly a must stop shop.
